On October 7, 2022, Canada notified a technical trade measure related to radio communication, with the notification number of G/TBT/N/CAN/682. This measure specifies the technical requirements and evaluation procedures for operating equipment in the range of 3KHz to 10MHz to prove that it complies with the radio frequency (RF) exposure limit specified in RSS-102. This measure is applicable to all radio equipment generating RF emission within this range, and also to some equipment causing interference, especially industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) equipment. This measure has come into force on October 4, 2022.

On September 23, 2022, the State Council issued the Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Deepening the Reform of the Management System of the Electronic and Electrical Industry (GBF [2022] No. 31). According to the notice, since September 23, the 9 types of products allocated from the CCC directory will not be controlled at the level of compulsory certification. The application for compulsory certification involved in the process will be stopped, and the certification authority will no longer issue certificates. Enterprises can conduct voluntary certification if necessary. It is estimated that mandatory certification activities can be carried out for new battery products in 90 days due to factors such as the WTO meeting and the updating of certification implementation rules.
On September 29, 2022, the Governor of California approved Act AB 1817 to add Chapter 13.5 to Part 3, Section 104 of the California Health and Safety Act. The main content is to prohibit the manufacture, distribution and sale of textiles containing perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) from January 1, 2025.
